A lot of movie villains don't seem quite as terrifying pre-CG...

It’s on set pictures like these that remind us how important CG is in the world of blockbuster action movies.

The first snaps have appeared from the set of the Amazing Spiderman 2, which is currently shooting in New York. These pictures show Paul Giamatti as a pre CG villain Rhino, it’s the first time we’ve seen him in full Rhino mode but it’s pretty hard to imagine what the final outcome is going to look like. We can relax though, safe in the knowledge that once shooting is over a team of VFX wizards will be getting creative and making him look convincingly terrifying.

To accompany the pictures a mini report of happenings during the shoot from an eye witness, has appeared online, check it out...

While we still don't know what The Rhino will look like, once all the special effects are included, shots indicate this villain is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Andrew Garfield is also seen interacting with a young actor, who is sporting his own Spider-Man costume, and Emma Stone is seen kissing the webbed wonder on the set.
