Every so often, I come across something that makes me pause for a second. I did just that yesterday in one of my usual web trawls.
What I am referring to is some art produced by Yuki Matsueda. I wouldn't say that any of it is revolutionary, but I love both the execution and the humour in it. Making beautiful art out of every day objects is something that I find inspiring - mostly because I think that our lives are too often surrounded by things that either don't work properly or simply look too ugly for words.
I like the way this artist has managed to bring out the 3d element of every day object in a way that brought a smile to my face. In particular, I love the image above of the little green running man. Wouldn't it be much more fun if all our exit signs looked something like that? I bet we would pay a lot more attention to them.
I hope you like this work as much as I did. Let me know what you think of it. You can find a whole load of his work here.

Ha! yes Isabelle, they are indeed both fun and visually amusing, agreed signage makers should use this for inspiration....
